writer – editor – vintage curator
Welcome to my website! If you love vintage fashion and all things New York, you’ve come to the right place. And I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a former technology writer who left the corporate world (pay cut! ugh!) to write about and do things that bring me joy (autonomy! yay!) I currently own an online vintage store and also created and hosted the VINTAGE NEW YORK mini-series on YouTube. I’ve been a New Yorker for the last 26 years, and now split my time between New York City and my home in the Hudson Valley.
What you’ll find here are various musings about life, fashion, and where to go and what to do in New York. If that’s your jam, or you just want to stay in touch, (I quit social media, so this is the only place you’ll find me) click the button below.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll come back.

Why I Quit [Most] Social Media
life in general
Twitter incels, schizophrenic algorithms, hackers, trolls, and the constant risk of my content disappearing. After years of posting, scrolling, and hustling online to build my business brand, I did something I never thought I would. I quit. Here’s what I’m doing instead.

How New York Fashion Week Got Started
vintage fashion
I hate fashion week in person, but I love watching the shows online, thanks to the industry professionals that make it all happen. These are the people that create the magic..a magic that started way back in the 1940s. Here’s how it all went down.

Taking Pride in Pride Month
nyc: events
Growing up in deep-south Alabama in the 1980s, my gay friends had to pretend to be straight or risk being mocked and shamed, possibly beaten, or perhaps even killed. In New York, they’re loved, supported, and celebrated. And I’m here cheering them on from the sidelines.
