I’ve been working from home (yes, in my PJs) for over a decade now. I began to feel sorry for all the amazing clothes and shoes just sitting in my closet. So I made the daily commitment to get dressed before going into the office..even though “the office” is in “my basement.”

I had a lot of gay friends growing up, but they had to pretend to be straight. If they “came out” in deep-south Alabama in the 1980s, they’d be mocked and shamed, possibly beaten, or perhaps even killed. Here, they’re loved, supported, and celebrated.
